Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

The identity statement of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) states: “We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ we welcome all to the Lord’s Table as God has welcomed us.”

The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the Southwest

Eight geographic areas make up the vast space of the Southwest Region. Ministry happens in 380 congregations, as well as in these eight areas and  -- for some things -- throughout the WHOLE region. In response to God's call in Jesus Christ "to become the Gospel, to share the Gospel and to serve in mission from our doorsteps to the ends of the earth," the mission of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the Southwest is to be a source of vision, nurture, wholeness and mutual accountability in order to serve and to strengthen congregations.

Texas Christian University (TCU)

Disciples Campus Ministry at TCU takes many forms, but its essential purpose is to provide a presence for the Disciples of Christ students at Texas Christian University. Through Disciples Campus Ministry, students have an opportunity to embrace wholeness in a fragmented world. This is taught through exploration of the Bible, articulation of one’s own faith and beliefs, and focus on who Jesus is calling them to be by loving and serving all creation.
